I’m sure that when you were growing up, like when I was growing up, people said that you shouldn’t brag.
Except Bragg is my father’s name, and my maiden name, so my dad told us it was okay to brag.
So we probably were the only household in the city where it was okay to brag.
People understand that the last letter in my name, spelled B-R-A-G-G, is G, and that last G stands for gratitude.
Character, commitment and courage are important because people give bragging a bad connotation.
But I say if you do it from a standpoint of gratitude, where you talk about your courage and commitment and character, that makes all the difference.
For example, if you are interviewing for a job and someone wants to hire you, you may be bragging, but if you can tell them instances and examples where you showed some courage, where you showed commitment throughout the job, and where you showed character, then that negates those bad connotations that people have about bragging.
