It’s March Madness — Defeat Self-Doubt and Triumph in Life’s Tournament

Mar 25, 2025 | Tip for a Terrific Tuesday

It’s March Madness this month, and we want to get mad about the things in our life and get rid of those things that have been holding us back.

Let’s follow seven steps and get rid of seven things this month that have been holding us back.

M – Making Excuses

Let’s stop making excuses about things that we’ve held on to for too many years. Let’s throw them away.

A – Anger

Why are we angry about things that we can’t change? Let’s dial down the anger when it seems to upset us and keeps us from reaching our goals.

D – Doubt

Do you ever have self doubt? It’s time to stop doubting yourself, and be a fan of yourself. If you are not a fan of yourself, who else is going to be a fan of you?

N – Narrow-Mindedness

Sometimes we are narrow-minded, and narrowed-mindedness can hold us back.

E – Envy

Sometimes we’re held back by envy. Well, let’s find anything that we feel envy about, and just get rid of it.

S – Selfishness

Sometimes we are selfish, and if we could just exercise more gratitude and not be selfish, then we could be more successful. Studies have shown that people who show gratitude are more successful and happier.

So, let’s get rid of anything that we think may have a selfish thought behind it.

S – Stress

There are things that have been overwhelming us and causing stress for too long.

So for this March Madness season, we are going to get rid of these seven things today and get rid of all of that madness.

Make a commitment that when March Madness is over, you will have followed these seven steps and gotten rid of seven things that could be holding you back and keeping you from reaching our goals.
