Often I may ask, what do you do when life just gets you down? Well, that happens to all of us. And what I have found, and what I coach others to do, is to step away from that situation for a while and give yourself a chance to have a fresh perspective.
Sometimes it’s best to shut it down for that day and think about it again on a fresh day when your mind is clear and you are well rested. Because sometimes when we are overwhelmed and we act out of emotion, we don’t make the best decision.
And if you find that they are people who are adding to you, feeling overwhelmed, then you may have to tell them that I can’t talk with you today, that I need time to evaluate this situation. So try this and see if it helps you to be able to deal with life when things don’t seem to go your way.
